Update 8 – Production sprint 2 – Week 1


[Programming] - Niels

I made the HUD elements like the score screen, player selection, countdown and winning screens.

[Programming] - Denis

This week I got to focus a lot on bugfixing of the powerups and obstacles, and I made the powerups respawnable.

[Art] - Bilguun

This week I worked on a couple meshes to fill the level with. I modelled a wall torch and started working on the particle effects for the flames which will be an important fill light. It's not finished yet as it's been a while since I've worked with Unreal's cascade and have been progressing slowly.
The UI/HUD concept have been tweaked slightly to their final versions and extra UI elements have been made. Hopefully we can start making and implementing the menu this week.


[Art] - Cristina

This week I adapted the environment meshes and materials to fit better in the style our game currently has going.  They are now darker and a bit more cryptic.
I created modular stone floor tiles to replace the old platforms of the game and a wall for the edge of the course that will match the ruins meshes already in the game.  I also started working on a few more meshes to fill in the scene such as lanterns.
